Denia

Denia is a very tranquil place and traditionally is a sought after holiday retreat for many inhabitants of Alicante. They like to escape the stress of city living and relax and enjoy the beauty of Denia. Street markets are a daily activity in Spain. A variety of products can be purchased from fresh fruit, vegetables, brick a brac, clothes, shoes, antiques and many more items. A paradise for the bargain hunter. Look out for the Monday street market at Denia.

Javea (pronounced - Havea)

The village of Javea which lies about 3 km land inward, the port of Javea and the area around the beach of Javea. In the old part of Javea there are still some traditionally built houses with balconies remaining. Enjoy spending your time just passing by the little shops, especially along the Avenida del Mediterraneo, which runs along the Javea harbour area, you will find an abundance of restaurants and bars.

From a sightseeing point of view, you should visit the church Iglesia de San Bartolome, which was built in the 12th century. Also of interest is the museum Soler Blasco, which can be found in the calle Primicias. The museum displays a copy of the treasure of Javea, which consists of jewellery from previous centuries.

Alicante

Boulevards with palm trees and shopping streets, historical buildings around the entire city, miles of sandy beaches, Alicante offers countless sightseeing attractions, from cathedrals to churches and of course a wonderful harbour area.
